Notes: Patriots are Replacing Their Grass, Pats Don’t Have Kicker Woes

As you have probably seen, the condition of the grass in Gillette Stadium is in total disarray.  So… Robert Kraft decided we replaced the sod with fresh new, artificial turf.  Don’t like artificial, but with Gostkowski splipping and flipping, its just better off this way.

Update: According to NFL rules, the Patriots aren’t allowed to change the type of field during the middle of a season(ex. grass to artificial turf), so the Patriots are only going to replace some of the sod (hopefully inbetween the hashes)

Who thinks Gostkowski will be better than Vinatieri by the way?  I might just be saying this because Vinatieri is a traitor, reminds me of Johnny Damon, but I think Gostkowski could end up being a better kicker in the long run.  No one can dispute he has a stronger leg and good accuracy, and only time can tell how he is under pressure.
